Stallholder FAQ

Discovery Markets is a boutique artisan, maker, produce and food market in Wolli Creek. We pride ourselves on quality and are looking forward to bringing the best that Sydney has to offer to Wolli Creek on tehe 1st Saturday of the month. As an example, stallholders we seek to pop-up with us sell very high quality candles, homewares, fashion, produce (fruit and veg), jewellery, boutique hot food, art, accessories, hand made food products/condiments and plenty more. As long as it is high quality and helps draw a great community vibe each Saturday, we want it at Discovery!

The following details are general Stallholder Guidelines which will answer the majority of any questions you have. If anything however isn't made clear enough, please don't hesitate to contact us on team@discoverymarkets.com.au

Stall Comparison:

Small Inside 2m x 2m - Yellow area on map

This stall type is for stallholders only requiring a single table of space and have a simple setup. All artisan makers and creators are welcome to a 'small inside' stall. No food or food products are allowed. No tape, blue-tac or any other adhesive is to be use on the chapel walls, so please bring something to support your signage if you book inside :)

Regular Outside 3m x 3m - Red and green area on map

This stall type is for general stallholders who require a little more space (3m x 3m) and a larger setup. All artisan makers, creators and food products are welcome to a 'regular outside' stall. We provide the tent setup for you (you need to bring your own weights please).

Hot Food/Drink 3m x 3m - Purple area on map

This stall type is for food and drink stallholders who will be preparing and selling consumable food on site. Electricity will be available for you ONLY to tested and tagged products that you bring, up to a maximum of 20A per stall. We cannot provide rental stalls for hot food providers, so if you do not have an all white 3m x 3m marquee, please get in contact with us and you can purchase one through us.

Things you absolutely need:

  • PLI (Public Liability Insurance) - minimum of $10 million. If you have not got this already, please seek a preliminary approval from us first, then we recommend someone like AAMI, who provide very affordable insurance premiums for market stalls
  • FSS (If you are a food stall)
  • Weights (if you are an outside stall) - please invest in good weights for your tent. There is nothing worse than feeling like you're going to blow away on a windy day. Even if you are renting a tent from us for the day, bring your own weights to make sure you're as stable as possible

Before the day:

You will receive an information email outlining your stall number, your bump-in time and any other essential information by Thursday close-of-business. We trade from 9am - 3pm, so ensure that you've planned enough to arrive for your bump-in time (7am is the earliest) and are ready to go for a presentation check at 8:30am and trading at 9am.

On the day:

Don't forget anything essential to your setup (signage, banners, change-room etc.) or logistics (cash float, EFTPOS machine if necessary etc.). Please adhere to your bump-in time as stated on the email and arrive on site to the bump-in zones represented by the red "X's" in the map above. Signage and staff will be at the bump-in zones to direct you to unpack your equipment and direct you to your stall based on the stall number we have allocated you. After you have unpacked everything, you can proceed to parking. At this stage we have paid on-site car parking (0-3 hours free, then from $20), however after you have bumped your equipment in, it is a 7 minute walk from free parking at Tempe Recreation Reserve just over the bridge. Additionally, there is plenty of on-street parking in Wolli Creek.
